Come, pull up a comfy seat and a cup of coffee, I'm so happy you've joined me today.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Caitlin Friebel, Wife, Mama, Creative, Author and fully self taught Fine Artist. I have been working with watercolors, painting, creating, exploring, experimenting, and learning for 20 years. Art has always been like a deep breath for my soul, it's who I am, I don't paint, I don't create for myself, I do it from the deep desire to share beauty with others. My hope is that through my paintings I am able to share a small breath of beauty with you.

Take a brief look into the studio
and what I've been busy working on these days.
My name is Caitlin Friebel, Wife, Mama, Author, Creative and fully self taught Fine Artist living in the Adirondack Mountains of Northern NY. For as long as I can remember I've had a natural inclination to create and work with my hands, but it was when I first experienced watercolor that my artistic journey began. I'm not sure how to describe the feeling except that it felt like something clicked and I knew this was what I was meant to do.
I have always loved the soft transparency of watercolor and yet am thrilled at how challenging and detailed it can be. I have always been drawn to realism art and love discovering more details in a painting the closer I look at a piece. This I believe is why I strive so hard to achieve a photorealistic style in my work, to ensure the viewers ultimate enjoyment and capture the smallest seemingly insignificant details.
I founded my art business Works of Thine Hands Watercolors 2008, (Now Thine Hands Designs LLC) and over the 20 years of painting and creating I've continued to build and expand my artistic experience and dreams through changing seasons of life like marriage, motherhood, and beyond.

October is Having a Party is a reminder to look deeper into the nature around us and find beauty in the falling leaves, humble pinecone, and moss-covered branch. Through gorgeous watercolors and a playful story of Fall forest festivities, Friebel showcases the wonder and magic of the changing seasons. All are invited to October’s party!

I recently discovered painting moody, misty, mountain scenes with Acrylics speaks to my soul in a way watercolor never has. I have fallen in love with how peaceful and relaxing it is to blend the greys blues, and greens into scenes that feel like home. The quiet on an early morning drive through the forest or the fog drifting down over the mountains.
These are the scenes I see every day and I feel a deep draw and desire to capture that rainy day feeling of peace and rest and share it with others. Like a soft mountain breeze or the smell of pine trees, these paintings inspire a deep breath of peace and draw you into the beauty and rest of the mountains.
